The Dublin Oratory in Formation is a Catholic community of priests and brothers living together according to the spirit of Saint Philip Neri.

An Oratory in Formation

The Dublin Oratory in Formation is a Catholic community of priests and brothers living together according to the spirit of Saint Philip Neri.

It was established with the consent of the Archbishop of Dublin and by decree of the Procurator General of the Oratorian Confederation on 2nd February 2020. On 2nd February 2021 the Procurator General gave permission for the community to adopt the distinctive Oratorian habit.

As an Oratory in Formation the community remains under the supervision of the Procurator General until such time as it is established as an independent house. During this time the superior of the community is known as the Moderator.

The community is based at Saint Kevin’s Church, Harrington Street, in Portobello, Dublin 8. The main work of the community is the pastoral care of Harrington Street Parish & The Latin Mass Chaplaincy of the Archdiocese of Dublin.
